Wealden Guild

In 2024 we were given some Jacobs wool and decided to give all members a change to work 300g in whichever way they chose. Here are a few examples of our work: A needle-felted Jacobs sheep A fairisle knitted hat using handspun yarn Mittens in twined knitting using handspun yarn  

We spin from fleece, which we prepare by washing, carding or combing. Sometimes we also dye our fibres. We may also buy ready-prepared fibre. The above merino fibre being spun, also showing the braid of fibre.
